EYES OF THE BEHOLDER

 

People visualize infinity by looking to the sky,

In truth you can touch it as it passes by.

The gaggle of masses we encounter each day,

Are reflections of our tomorrows as well as yesterday.

If we choose not to look with more than our eyes,

We add to the confusion created by our lies.

IT'S HARD TO FIND FRIENDS

Excuse me, can you see me, can you feel, can you reach?

(Eyes, ears, hands and all, yes I see two of each.)

No! Can you see me, know who I am?

(Yes I can see you, great coat is it lamb?)

No! No! Can you see me, not just my look?

(Of course I can don't get so shook!)

Forget it, I can't stand it, we can't even talk!

(I'd listen if you say something but all you do is squawk!)

I thought of you today.

My mind encompassed memories of all you used to say.

I conjured up your humor when laughter wasn't due,

I recalled the nights we talked until the sky was blue.

Memories and recollections still live in my core,

Life may have been funny, but never a bore!
